Nintendo Weekly Fan News May 21st- 25th

Today’s weekly news update is brought to you by game releases and even more evidence of a new Pokémon game. We should let Detective Pikachu figure out what the new game is.

Mega Man Legacy Collection 1 & 2 Release
Mega Man returns with his latest Legacy collections, each sold separately by the way. Let’s dive into the first Legacy collection.

Mega Man Legacy Collection
This collection includes six 8-bit classics: Mega Man, Mega Man 2, Mega Man 3, Mega Man 4, Mega Man 5, and Mega Man 6.

In addition to the games, you can play stage remixes in Challenge Mode and compete against your friends for the fastest completion times on the online leaderboards. You can also unlock additional trials in Challenge Mode using the Mega Man amiibo, or Golden Mega Man amiibo. Whichever you choose.

Some added new features include a new Rewind feature that gives players the option to instantly reverse game play, correcting unexpected pitfalls or deadly enemy encounters. Also, the new Turbo CPU Speed feature reduces slowdown when the action gets intense.  Don’t forget to also check out the series' history in Museum Mode.

Mega Man Legacy Collection 2
This collection includes the 8-bit, 16-bit, and 32-bit adventures of Mega Man 7, Mega Man 8, Mega Man 9, Mega Man 10.

Like in the first collection, there are time trials, remix challenges, and an extensive gallery of rare illustrations. This collection includes the additional modes originally released as DLC for Mega Man 9 and 10, featuring extra stages and playable characters.

Tidbit: More Pokémon Rumors
In this little tidbit, we address the even more Pokémon rumors, but this time, with more solid evidence.

On the Nintendo UK site, a new page for an upcoming Pokémon Switch title has appeared. There are sign-ups on the site to receive emails on the latest news of this game. Little is known at the time about the game, but this new site could mean we may be getting an announcement sometime soon. I suspect we will see it showcased at E3, due to it being almost here.

Well, that’s all for this week, so I hope to “see” you next week

In a surprising announcement, the NES Classic Edition will return to stores on June 29!
This system along with the SNES Classic Edition system are expected to be available through the end of the year. Hopefully Nintendo can maintain the stock for the holiday season.

Ubisoft eShop Sale
In a recent sale going on, certain Ubisoft games are on sale for a limited time. Let me give you a quick rundown of these games:

  • Mario + Rabbids Battle Kingdom for $40.19

  • Just Dance 2018 for $34.79

  • Rayman Legends: Definitive Edition for $24.79

  • Uno for the Switch for $6.99

  • Monopoly for the Switch for $19.99

This sale lasts until May 21st

P.S. I would personally buy the Rabbids game at Walmart.com because it’s on rollback for around $29.88.

Nintendo E3 Enhancement
E3 is a little less than a month away, and some new announcements have been made. However, these are only details about the lines at E3, so nothing too special.

For this Nintendo E3, attendees need to reserve play slots ahead of time to play the new Super Smash Bros. game. Attendees will play two different ways, which includes going against people casually “for fun,” or play “for glory” in a competitive elimination match.

The reservation system for the Super Smash Bros. game is going to work like this:  Anyone who registers for E3 2018 by May 31 will receive an email from E3 organizers on June 5 with details about how to reserve one electronic ticket to play the game. Make sure to check out for that email, as it is necessary. As I said before, it is required to register beforehand or you cannot play the game. Tickets will be in the form of QR Code patterns that can be viewed and stored on a smartphone or printed out, whichever you please.

Hyrule Warriors: Definitive Edition Release
After some wait, Hyrule Warriors: Definitive Edition has finally released for the Switch.

This game is basically Hyrule Warriors, with some new changes. One of them is this game will include all previous DLC from Hyrule Warriors. The graphics are somewhat improved, due to it being on the Switch. Other than some other minor changes, the game should be the same.

The game retails for $59.99 and is available now.

Tidbit: Pokémon Let's Go! Pikachu
In an interesting tidbit of news from the rumor mill, there are some photos and shaky proof surrounding two new games called Pokémon Let's Go! Pikachu and Pokémon Let’s Go! Eevee. These games may or may not be the newest games planned for Switch. The only two photos I could find where of the domains of the sites. As usual, take these rumors with a grain of salt. I like to think these games may be true, but all the same.
