Nintendo Weekly News October 30th-November 3rd

Today’s weekly news update is brought to by the hype train that Nintendo has dragged us aboard.

Super Beat Sports Release
On November 2nd, Super Beats Sports released for the Switch.

In this game, you must compete with or against friends in this wacky, out of this world (literally) sports game. There are five sports and they are called:
  • BuddyBall
  • WhackyBat
  • Gobble Golf
  • NetBall
  • RhythmRacket
You must follow the beat of the music to win at these games. You can play with up to 4 other players.

The game is available on the eShop and is priced at $14.99.

Nintendo Holiday Experience
The winter holidays are coming and Nintendo is prepared.

Nintendo has recently announced their plans for this year’s annual holiday experience and this year, the Switch is the highlight of the season. At certain mall locations throughout the US, there will be booths where fans can play certain games from the Switch and 3DS systems. Some games featured for the Switch include: LoZ: Breath of The Wild, Super Mario Odyssey, and Pokken Tournament DX.  Some games for the 3DS will be: Metroid: Samus Returns and Mario Party: The Top 100.

Also, fans who visit the booths will have a chance to receive a QR code to scan for My Nintendo Platinum reward coins.

The dates are set to be from November 11th to December 17th. A list of locations can be found here

Direct Dedicated for Xenoblade Chronicles 2
Nintendo has been adding fuel to their hype train and it does not look like it’s going to stop anytime soon.

A new Direct will be premiered on November 7th.  The special thing about this direct is that it will be exclusively covering brand new news on the upcoming Xenoblade Chronicles 2.  The direct will be broadcasted live at 6 a.m., Pacific Time. Be sure to wake up early for the news!

The game will launch December 1st for the Nintendo Switch.

Black Friday Deals
Black Friday is quickly approaching and Nintendo has announced some of their own “legendary” deals for the sale.

First up is a special Link green 2DS system that will come pre-loaded with The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D.  The 2DS will also have bright orange buttons. It will retail for $79.99.

The second deal is new bundle for LoZ: Breath of the Wild. The bundle is officially called The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild- Explorer’s Edition. In this bundle, you get the game, a 100 page explorer’s guide, and a neat double-sided map. The suggested retail price for the bundle is $59.99, which is a pretty good deal considering it includes more than just the game. A small FYI about the bundle is that it does not include the DLC for the game.

These are just 2 deals directly from Nintendo. I am pretty sure there will be retailer deals as well, so those will be reported on as they come.
